What “perfect” usually means in this genre

2. Correct mix-ins in order, correct volume.

Volume and mix-ins (the silent killers)

Most failed “perfects” are Build errors. Auto-pour exists because humans miss the meter. Until you own it, watch the fill, not the customer’s face. If two mix-ins are stacked, add them as stacked, not as a soup. If the ticket shows a syrup at Build, it is not a Top drizzle — putting chocolate on both layers can double-count as a miss.

When you unlock more of the 50+ customer roster, tickets get busier, not friendlier. A closer is just a long ticket with less patience. Practice long tickets at idle hours, then wear a scoring hat before the rush. Hats boost points; they will not fix a wrong size.

Mix window

Blender boosts save waiting. They also make it easy to overshoot. If the ticket implies a light mix, a full boost is a grade cut. Listen for the stop, or watch the meter if one exists. In laggy 20-player servers, wait a beat after the animation ends before you yank the cup — pulling early is an under-mix even if it looked done on your client.

If Mix is always your lowest bar, buy the boost from the upgrade tier list and fix your pathing so you are not walking to Top and back. Ring alarms exist so you can stay at Mix without missing the next Order.

Top discipline

Match the cream height, drizzle path, and scatter density to the ticket. Extra cherry “for luck” is not luck. If the shop later adds seasonal toppings, they still have to be requested. Serve immediately when the cup matches; waiting for a prettier swirl while the customer timer dies is how a 98 becomes an 80.

Hats, goals, and when to retry

Equip a point-boost hat from the hat tier list before you hunt 100s. A weak hat is a self-imposed handicap. Daily goals that ask for scores or customer counts should be done on easy tickets first so you are not burning a closer for a weekly checkbox.

Retry rules: trash a known-wrong cup. Serving it “for the cash” trains a bad motion. Rank from Rookie to Master is a long XP curve; one panicked 40% closer is not worth protecting a streak that does not exist.
